It happens in "threes"

I know I should be writing about the upcoming Easter weekend but I've had some bad juju as of late.  I'm not in the mood to write about the fuzzy bunny, who evidently knows my alarm code and has a house key, so he can hide eggs in my house (which I never find the last one until Cinco de Mayo) and then proceeds to eat all of my tulips in the yard before departing for his next B&E (breaking and entering).   Why, you ask?  Because the Trilogy of Disaster has fallen over my head.  No, nothing too serious or life threatening but just your run of the mill stress.

Love hurts...

Cupid has shot his arrow and now the stress of Valentine's day begins.  The hours you will spend pouring over the card section at Target trying to find the perfect card for your situation.  Looking for the card that says, I know we've only been on three dates, but I would be willing to have your children, but not in a stalker kind of way but because I think your mother raised you right and you have great hair but I don't want to scare you, so this card doesn't include the words I love you, I need you or forever but just that I'm totally into you but only if you're into me, if not than this is just a card.

1)
Bring one bottle of wine for every day you're away from home. (two, if you don't get along with your mother- in-law)
2)  Pumpkin pie is not your friend
3)  Admit it, you've waited all year for green bean casserole
4)  Do sweet potatoes really need marshmallows on top?
5)  I do not like cranberries in a can
I do not like them near my yams

Trick or Treat?

Gigi

Am I getting too old or is no one offering a trick anymore?  Last year I asked a little Power Ranger for a trick- he just looked at me dumbfounded.  I'm like, "what do ya got?, lay it on me."  Awkward silence followed as he looked back at his mom on the sidewalk- she yells, "say trick or treat and don't forget thank you!"  So, I thought I would flip it around, "how about I do a trick for you?"  "Do you want me to pull a coin from behind your ear? How about I wiggle my ears?

At what point do you become ma'am?

I remember the day vividly, I was at the grocery store- checking out the produce, feeling up the cantaloupe, knocking on the watermelon and popping a few grapes in my mouth (just checking the ripeness) - when a man standing next to me said "may I help you ma'am?"  Of course, the thought of going to jail for stealing a measly grape crossed my mind but I had my alibi all worked out.  He said it again, "may I help you ma'am?"  Who is this guy talking to?  It can't be moi?   I look around, no one else is ransacking the produce section- not a m

W.W.K.D?

Gigi, I've read that grey is the "it" color for Fall.  What other colors will be popular this year?

When in doubt or not sure about a fashion choice, one way to address those perplexing fashionista questions can be answered by a Daily Candy Lexicon W.W.K.D.- what would Kate do?  Kate Moss would embrace grey but she would pair it with the hottest trends.

You can leave your hat on...

Gigi- I had my first experience at a Polo Match last weekend and in preparation I was desperately trying to figure out what to wear.  My always fashionable dressed friend was there with a FABULOUS hat on.  I would love to find a great hat, but have no idea where to go.  Can you help?? Also, we Minnesotans don't typically don hats very often-how do we bring this fabulous fashion trend back???

High School reunion-not musical

So, you've graduated from high school 10, 15 or even 20 years now and it's time to go back and see all those faces from the hallways of high school.  I recommend going to at least one of the above mentioned reunions because you're not that dork from high school anymore.  You're a successful "girl on the go."  So, I played the clarinet in band-it was not like the movie Amerian Pie,-"this one time at band camp." I was out marching on the football field, playing in the pep band and occassionally asked to march with the tuba. (OMG!)  So, you may
