Dinnertime!!!

Gigi

culinary mistressI've been MIA for 90 days and I apologize for my absence.  I've missed all of you and I'm so glad to be back in the swing of things.  The last ninety days have been filled with broken New Year's resolutions, (curvy is in, right?) spending hours shoveling snow to get my car to the other side of the street, (did I mention they sell snacks at the Impound lot?) eating my body weight in Girl Scout cookies (damn you, Samoas) and having my ass kicked by some microscopic bug from hell which left me bed-ridden twice. (flu shot works, not!) Despite these small hiccups, I was able to check out several new restaurants in the Twin Cities with my fellow "girls on the go," venture to many destinations (Vegas, Charleston, San Diego, Salt Lake City...) shop new stores and find a lot of new amazing products. (can't slow us "girls on the go" for too long) We're looking forward to sharing all of this with you!

Heartbreaker

Gigi

OM MinneapolisWe girls are strong creatures but every once and awhile someone or something comes along and knocks us on our ass. I've decided that there are seven "for sures" that happen when your heart is broken.
1) The gut retching, non stop sobbing resulting in collapsing to the floor and wondering if you will ever be able to get up. (when is the last time I vacuumed?)
2) Food loses all taste resulting in immediate weight loss. (why couldn't this have happened before my high school reunion-damn!)
3) There is no such thing as "waterproof" mascara, period.
4) Some sadistic radio DJ has decided to play every love song ever written for the next 72 hours, "commercial free." (easy listening, my ass!)

Got gold?

Gigi

olympic rings 2010I've been a total TV junkie this week, I'm obsessed with the Winter Olympics and who can forget about Fashion Week in NYC. I may not be an Olympian (really?)  nor a supermodel (big surprise) but these last 24 hours I displayed some Lindsay Vonn athleticism and Heidi Klum couture. (I might want to stop self medicating)

Be my Hammer-tine

Gigi

HammermadeAfter watching the Superbowl ads I've come to the conclusion, I prefer my men in clothes. (way too much "bad naked" for me) Nothing turns me on more than a sharp dressed man and I curse the day casual Fridays became mandatory. (nice Hemp t-shirt, I see a promotion in your future!)  I'm a firm believer in dressing for the occasion, especially when it comes to a date night.
