Movie and a Makeover

Gigi

I'm a beauty product junkie. I've willingly been sucked into the multi gazillion dollar industry with pleasure.  I'm always on the hunt for the new, hot, "must have" product or service but sometimes I get ahead of myself and think I'm a DIY kinda girl, I don't need to rely on a professional for everything. (wrong, oh so very wrong)

Here are a few beauty treatments best left to the pros.
1) Waxing- Yes, I bought a vat of hot wax plugged it in, took a Popsicle stick and applied it to my underarm. (what's the big deal)Anyhoo, I missed a few spots and my arm was stuck to my side. (wtf?!)  I couldn't  move it without having a complete skin graph, I panicked and called the only person who could help. (my mom) She asked, "why don't you just shave?" "really?, we're a little beyond that right now!"  "I don't know why you do this to yourself" (I felt a lecture coming on) "Gotta go mom."  I called my wax girl at the salon and explained my predicament (hysterically) and asked how do I get my arm free.  She just laughed and hung up. (nice!) (FYI- warm washcloth, wine and patience).
2) Eyebrow Shaping- As I have mentioned in the past, I suffered from a bit of a uni brow through my teenage years (thanks alot for the heads up people)  So, once I had them shaped by a professional, I thought I don't need weekly appointments, (I'm part woolly mammoth) I can do this myself.   I bought a pair of Tweezerman tweezers and went to town.  Well, I had one brow that was super thin, with a high arch that left me with quizzical look on my face (what??) and the other well let's just say it took a month for everything to even out.  (put the tweezers down!)
3) Hair Highlighting-  Who the hell invented Sun-In?  I walked around for an entire summer looking like Carrot Top!  Note to self, brown hair + Sun-In = orange. (fantastic! another dateless summer)  Enough said.
revampNeed a break from DIY beauty head to reVamp for some beauty pick me ups. I've decided to leave my big event preparation to the professionals.  I love reVamp for how amazing they can make you look for everyday or for the upcoming SATC2 party.
They offer a makeup application for $37.00 and with a lesson it's only $50.00  They have plenty of talented staff to whip your hair into shape too.
Gigi's tip:  A blow out and fresh makeup always makes for an amazing night.

Довольно интересно. Только тему не помешало бы более детально раскрыть.
