No Lifeguard on Duty

I spent last week in Florida on vacation, along with everybody else from the Upper Midwest. (you betcha!)  My days were very hectic, I had mandatory poolside duty which included hours of soaking up the sun, flipping through magazines and people watching. (exhausting!)  Everyday was pretty much the same with me starting these labor intensive days at the crack of 9:00 AM.
9:00 am- Run down to pool to reserve prime seating blatantly ignoring the sign stating, "towels do not reserve chairs" (I'm a rebel)

10:00 am- Spend 15 minutes applying various degrees of SPF but always missing one spot resulting in 3rd degree burns. (damn Norwegian skin)
11:30 am - Completely parched from a rigorous morning. (where is that damn drink girl?!?)
12:00 pm - "Playmate of the Year" decides to sit right next to me. (Life is so not fair...)
1:00 pm- Riddle me this, why does an overweight man sporting a man sweater and gold necklace feel the need to wear a red Speedo? (why?!, for the love of god, why?!)
2:00 pm- Whistle blows announcing it's time to get out of the pool because a toddler's swim diaper has failed to do it's job. (Fantastic!!)
3:00 pm - Europeans invade the pool, giving the "Playmate" a run for her money on who is exposing more skin. (topless in Pensacola, really?!)
4:00 pm- Casper the friendly ghost is dressed to kill, wearing his dark socks and sandals, working on his laptop and talking on his Bluetooth. (somebody's playing hooky)
5:00 pm- Time to punch out and leave the circus behind. (see you all tomorrow for another day of fun in the sun) Do you have a poolside adventure planned or is it time for a new maillot for Minnetonka?  The only place to go in the Twin Cities for the perfect suit is Nani Nalu.
