Say "cheese"

I've recently been a victim of tagged photos on Facebook. (I have the same yearbook and paybacks are a bitch, I'm just sayin'). Anyhoo, I found out at an early age that the camera adds ten pounds. (fantastic! I was just thinking my thighs we're looking a little too skinny)  So, I've learned a few tips over the years to avoid some of the following missteps in photos. (thank you Top Model).
1) Never let someone take a picture looking up at you. (how many chins do I have? hot!)
2) Never press your arms against your body. (is that a bicep or a thigh? for the love of god!)
3) Don't over smile. (gum tissue is not sexy)
4) No one looks good in Sepia. (hello, it's not 1902!)
5) No, I'm not possessed. (don't you people know how to work red eye reduction??)
After spending my free time untagging myself from FB, I decided to get a "real" photo taken.  My girlfriend suggested an intimate portrait. (um, no thanks) She insisted I meet with Steven Anthony of Uptown Photography and I'm so glad I did. We discussed my vision for the photo shoot (make me look thin and pretty!!) and decided on my girlfriends house for the shoot. (I'm too lazy to clean mine)
What to expect:  100% professional experience and Nicole Fae, my makeup/hair artist made me look beautiful (wishing I could afford her everyday)
An hour of hair and makeup and two hours of shooting. (it is hard work) I was completely comfortable from the first shot.  Nicole and Steven are amazing!
Where:  You can shoot at your home, outdoors, a hotel, in your bathtub.  It really is up to you and what you want to capture on film.
What to bring: Don't wear any makeup, (scary) your ipod, (Lady GaGa always helps) your best friend (morale support) and a bottle of bubbly (liquid courage).
Gigi's Tip:  I loved every minute of it and my man loved the end results!!  Every girl should have a professional shot done for themselves or for someone else.
